VY1SK Dr. Steve Hemenway

Minor Solar Events occuring! Signal from equatorial region. VY1SK has been involved with the Auroral Bounce Experiments of 2004 from 69'n x 132'W, on the south shore of the Beaufort Sea. As we try to do some degree of science with propogation reporting systems. VY1SK wishes to thank the many volunteers who have made the efforts of this small exercise in to bringing Amateur Radio to remote regions in the Philippines and other very hard to get to areas of many countries in South East Asia, and in the coming year to Southwest Africa.
We are in your debt, for the very hard work done over the last few years from wiring and maintenence of the vehicle we have taken to foreign ports, and even the body work repairing the manifold scratches we have captured in the jungles of the Islands of Mindanao, Negros, and many others in the Philippine Archipelago.
This expedition will continue as the year progresses, even though there are many difficulties with licensing in some areas.
VY1SK is now preparing to depart again from SW Canada for South East Asia with the minivan, and as the minivan is shipped to Africa we will travel on to Taiwan, Japan, Korea, then to India, Madagascar and into the Republic of South Africa to begin to next portion of the trip.
Many Thanks to the Hams, Tradesmen, and other skills brought #to make the VY1SK work a smashing success.
